Your new role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join our thriving department. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to academic excellence and a love of literature and language. At Key Stage 3, we deliver a knowledge-rich English curriculum through the study of prose, drama, poetry, reading, and writing. At Key Stage 4, students study the AQA English Language and English Literature specifications, including Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls, and the Power and Conflict poetry anthology. You will be supported to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities within a collaborative and ambitious department.
What you'll need to succeed: You will be a confident and enthusiastic Teacher of English, passionate about your subject and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. You should have strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature, be able to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, have a clear understanding of what excellent classroom practice looks like, be committed to improving outcomes for all pupils, and be motivated, resilient, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team.
