About the role
Are you ready to step into a key role in a warm, inclusive primary school environment? At St Helen's Primary Academy, we are looking for a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across all year groups. You will take the lead in delivering high-quality interventions, covering classes where needed, and working closely with teachers to help every child access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver small group interventions and cover whole-class sessions when required
- Support with assessment and observations to inform planning
- Encourage children's social and emotional development
- Build strong relationships with families, supporting parental involvement
- Line manage other TAs where appropriate
Requirements
- Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting
- SEND intervention skills and awareness
- Motivated and passionate about supporting the youngest children within our schools to ensure the best start in education
- UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship

We value the skills and dedication of our teaching assistants. To support the best outcomes for our students, a level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is required. If you do not yet hold this qualification but have the relevant experience and hold a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, we offer a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme to help you gain the necessary skills and experience.
