Are you ready to step into a key role in a warm, inclusive primary school environment? At St Helen's Primary Academy, we're looking for a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across all year groups. You'll take the lead in delivering high-quality interventions, covering classes where needed, and working closely with teachers to help every child access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

In this HLTA role, you'll work closely with teachers across the school to support the delivery of an ambitious and engaging curriculum. Whether leading sessions, covering lessons, or guiding small groups, you'll help create a learning environment where every pupil feels safe, valued and inspired to achieve their best. Your work will play a vital part in giving children the confidence, skills and encouragement they need to thrive throughout their school journey.

Our HLTA's will:

  • Support with assessment and observations to inform planning
  • Encourage children's social and emotional development

Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualified (or equivalent)

Experienced in Teaching Assistant role in a primary setting

Motivated and passionate about supporting the youngest children within our schools to ensure the very best start in education for them.

We value the skills and dedication of our teaching assistants. To support the best outcomes for our students, as a HLTA we require a level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). If you don't yet hold this qualification but you do have the relevant experience and hold a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, don't worry! We'll invest in your development by enrolling you in our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme, helping you gain the behaviours, skills and experience you need to thrive in the role.
