Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year September 2026 or sooner. Lift New Rickstones is graded 'Good' (November 2023) and has a state of the art building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last 8 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with the number of students on roll more than doubling. The academy is a popular choice in the local area, is oversubscribed, and has added another new building to meet this demand. Lift New Rickstones is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive team. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high retention rates. Development is a priority with an extensive and successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programme to further develop our excellent staff.

We are looking for a School Facilities Manager to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our academy site remains safe, secure, well maintained and fit for purpose every day. This is an important role for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and creating an environment where students and staff can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of premises, facilities, site or building management, including carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Has a good understanding of health and safety, site security and compliance requirements.
  • Can effectively manage the day-to-day presentation, upkeep and security of the academy site.
  • Is able to monitor contractors, support planned maintenance activities and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Is willing to undertake both indoor and outdoor duties and takes a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and can work effectively with staff, contractors and visitors.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and maintaining a safe, positive environment for our school community.
