This is a new Head of Year role, we are looking for a teacher with a specialism in English, Maths or Geography.

Your new role This is a rare opportunity for an expert teacher to join our Student Support and Development team as a Head of Year. Although we welcome interest from teachers of all subject specialisms, we are particularly seeking specialists in English, Maths and Geography. As a role model for young people across the school, they will support the development of the school's behaviour for learning policies. Combining a teaching role with Head of Year responsibilities demands exceptional organisational and time-management skills. This dual role requires a balanced approach, ensuring both effective classroom instruction and proactive pastoral care for the year group. You must be adept at fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, while also driving academic progress and maintaining high standards of behaviour.
What you'll need to succeed You will be a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with strong subject knowledge in English, Maths or Geography, strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject. You will have a successful track record of improving the education of pupils and know what excellent education looks like in a classroom. Whether you're in your first year of teaching or your tenth, you will be warmly welcomed and supported here.
