Are you passionate about humanities and inspiring students to understand the world around them? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join our dedicated team at Lift Maltings. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a supportive department and help students develop curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of history, geography and/or religious education.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, we welcome applications from individuals who are committed to delivering engaging lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for students.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for all students.
  • Support students to achieve strong academic progress and develop a wider understanding of the world.
  • Contribute positively to curriculum development and department initiatives.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school community.

About Lift Maltings: Lift Maltings is an 11-16 school based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the school has 900 students on roll and benefits from a modern, purpose-built site opened in 2011. With excellent transport links to London, our staff and students can take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities the capital provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site. Visits to the school are warmly encouraged.
