Working in partnership with teachers and pastoral colleagues, you will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels supported, challenged and valued.You will work with students both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and build the confidence they need to succeed academically and personally. Through your support, encouragement and positive relationships, you will help improve outcomes and ensure that all students can thrive.We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with young people and committed to making a lasting difference to their educational journey. You will be able to build positive relationships with students, work effectively as part of a team and remain calm and professional when supporting students with a range of learning and pastoral needs.Key responsibilities include:Supporting students to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goalsWorking alongside teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiencesDelivering targeted support and interventions for individual students and small groupsEncouraging students to develop independence, resilience and confidence in their learningSupporting students' social, emotional and mental wellbeing in line with school policies and proceduresMonitoring student engagement and progress and providing feedback to teaching staffAssisting in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the needs of all learnersPromoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environmentSupporting educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school eventsWorking collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, the SENDCo and parents/carers to ensure students receive the support they need to succeedWe are looking for someone who:Holds GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualificationsHas experience working with children and young peopleCan build positive and productive relationships with studentsIs calm, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced school environmentCan work effectively as part of a teamIs committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young peopleHas excellent organisational skills and can manage competing prioritiesWho is Lift Schools?Lift Schools is made up of 62 primary, secondary and special schools, educating more than 33,000 pupils across the country.
