We are seeking a Receptionist to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary and play a key role as the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors. Your new role:

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service for the academy. Working closely with the School Operations Manager and wider administration team, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of reception and wider school operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing reception, visitor procedures and telephone enquiries
  • Supporting attendance administration and student welfare
  • Coordinating appointments, deliveries and meeting room bookings
  • Supporting first aid provision and safeguarding procedures
  • Assisting with school events and wider operational activities
  • Providing clerking and administrative support to the Academy Council, including minute-taking and maintaining governance records

What you'll need to succeed:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
  • Has strong communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Has a passion for supporting young people
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Experience working within a school environment or supporting meetings/governance processes would be advantageous.
