Immediate start

We are looking for a Safety Officer to join our school. In this role, you will support safe movement around the academy, oversee access and visitor protocols, manage traffic flow at peak times, and respond confidently and appropriately to incidents as they arise.

The role also includes daily minibus driving duties, transporting students safely to and from school, alternative provision, trips and activities (training and assessment provided where required).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safe movement of students during arrival, departure and lesson changeovers
  • Managing vehicle access and pedestrian safety, including the turning circle and crossings
  • Maintaining site security, including gates, perimeters and visitor supervision
  • Providing a visible presence to support behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding
  • Administering First Aid when required (training provided) and recording incidents
  • Driving the school minibus and ensuring vehicles are clean, safe and roadworthy
  • Working closely with staff to respond to emergencies and safety concerns
