We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and who is keen to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing valuable experience in a school environment.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom while undertaking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You will receive training and support to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to become an effective Teaching Assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils’ learning and development across the curriculum
- Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom activities
- Delivering small group and individual interventions
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting pupils to access learning and achieve their full potential
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and pastoral staff
- Supporting educational visits and wider school activities
- Completing apprenticeship training and coursework requirements
What We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience working with children or young people in a school, childcare or similar setting, or demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in education
- Have experience or passion for working in the EYFS
- Are patient, empathetic and resilient
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), or are willing to work towards these qualifications in line with apprenticeship requirements
- Are committed to successfully completing the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
