LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring certified Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year. We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher. LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school affected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks’ comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro‑social behavioural and educational outcomes. The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring student academic and functional achievement through data collection and observation
- Developing and monitoring students’ IEPs
- Reporting on progress and goals
- Attending IEP meetings
- Implementing individualized motivational systems, SMART programs, and positive behaviour support plans

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education required
- PA certification in Special Education also required
- Content area certifications preferred
- Prior experience working with students with behavioural health challenges within a school setting preferred
