Day Service EnablersTotnes, Devon (you may be required to work in surrounding areas)Employment type: PermanentPay: £22,932.00 per annumWorking hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09.30-16.30Do you have a passion for supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities to reach their full potential through caring and enriching experiences?We're seeking enthusiastic Enablers to join our Day Services team! You'll play a vital role in supporting our service users to develop new skills, build friendships, and explore exciting activities - all in a safe and caring environment.Who we are:Since 1996, we've been empowering people with learning disabilities in Devon to achieve their dreams and build fulfilling lives. Our core values of kindness, respect, and positivity guide everything we do.Our growing Day Service offers three key programmes:- Day Services & Holiday Club: Consistent care and support throughout the week, with a focus on engaging activities chosen by the participants.- Saturday Club (term time only): A supportive and fun environment for social interaction and skill development.What you'll do:- Support young people and adults with learning disabilities or complex needs in a small, friendly team.- Provide safe, high-quality, and person-centred care, helping individuals achieve their goals and aspirations in a fun and inclusive environment.- Support with a variety of activities; arts, sports, baking, trips out, games… even snow tubing!This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week). The working pattern is Monday-Friday 09:30-16:30, which includes a 30-minute paid break (as attendees require support during lunchtime).Who we're looking for:- Experienced in working with individuals with learning disabilities.- Ideally, hold a qualification in Health and Social Care at Level 2, as well as have experience working in a health & social care, youth or community setting (although we are still interested in hearing from you if you don’t have this, or have similar qualifications/experience).- A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.- Excellent communication, patience, and a positive attitude.- Ideally a driver so that you can drive our minibus.Make a Difference and Build Your Career at Lifeworks!We're passionate about supporting our staff just as much as we are about supporting our service users.
