Are you an experienced administrator with an organised and proactive approach to tasks? We have a brand-new opportunity at Lifeworks Charity for a Support Services Administrator to join our team.
This role will be integral to supporting the Operations Manager to deliver essential operational support to the charity. You will be a central point of contact for the organisation, working alongside your manager and liaising with other managers to ensure compliance with health and safety, GDPR, governance, and IT within all services is maintained.
This role is suited to someone who is looking for a varied administrative role, working closely with all services to ensure the correct support is delivered.

What you'll do:
- Provide general administration to the charity by supporting with a range of tasks, such as being a central point of contact, scanning, filing, record-keeping, etc.
- Support our Torquay residential home by configuring and maintaining a Care Control system, ensuring that staff receive clear and concise training in how to use it.
- Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining consistent and efficient health and safety management, guidance and support. This could be organising work to be done, compliance with policies, audits, reviews, maintaining records, etc.
- With the Operations Manager, act as a first point of contact for IT issues and requests and liaise with contractors or our external IT support team.
- Help with the administrative side of our governance, such as supplying information for regulatory visits, assisting with the provision and collation of documentation and ensuring filing and archiving systems adhere to GDPR standards.
You will work 37.5 hours per week during weekdays, over 52 weeks per year. This role will be based at both our College/Central Support Office in Dartington and our residential home in Torquay, so the ability to travel between sites is essential.

You should be:
- Experienced in providing administrative support, ideally in a multi-site organisation.
- Qualified to a Level 3 Diploma or similar in Business Administration.
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft packages.
- A team player and flexible in your approach to tasks in order to reach a common goal.
- An excellent communicator, both with internal and external stakeholders, with strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Be able to travel to our residential home in Torquay as needed.
- Ideally, hold knowledge about CQC and learning disabilities.
