This service supports individuals with enduring mental health needs as they transition from hospital or institutional settings to independent living in the community.
Shift Pattern
- Regular sessional/bank hours available
- Rotational shifts: Days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Location: Based at Red Lion Apartments, with potential opportunities to work across other schemes
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide person-centred, recovery-focused support, helping individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve greater independence. Every day, you’ll make a real difference — supporting people to live the lives they choose.
What We’re Looking For
- Have a genuine interest in mental health and recovery
- Are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Possess strong communication and IT skills
- Are willing to learn and grow professionally
- May have experience in care or support work (not essential — full training provided)
- Hold or are willing to work towards an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care

About Red Lion Apartments
Red Lion Apartments is a modern supported living service located in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester. It provides a safe, comfortable, and empowering environment for individuals with enduring mental health needs who are transitioning from hospital or institutional settings to independent living. The service consists of 16 self-contained one-bedroom apartments, each fully furnished with its own kitchen, bathroom, and essential appliances. Support is available on-site 24/7 from a dedicated recovery team, ensuring that each person receives the guidance and care they need to build confidence and live independently. Security and peace of mind are prioritised, with CCTV in place throughout the site. Every individual benefits from a bespoke recovery plan tailored to their personal goals, helping them take meaningful steps toward greater autonomy and wellbeing.
