Here at Lifeways in Winson Green - Birmingham, we are looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic team. The people we support at this service have varying ages and while some like to be active and organise their own activities, there are others who like to be supported and accompanied to group or individual activities in the community. People we support enjoy going to the cinema, bowling, leisurely walks in the local park, day trips out when the weather’s nice, eating out, shopping, and going on holiday. In-house activities include spa days, arts and crafts, movie nights, and baking.
We are looking for support workers with initiative, good communication skills, and a team player attitude. They will have a passion for delivering outstanding care to vulnerable people, enabling them to live life as they choose. You should be able to motivate, encourage independence and inclusion, and understand that every individual’s journey to mental wellbeing means something different to them, and you have a willingness to support them to achieve this.
