Lifeways Complex Care and Autism Division is currently recruiting senior support workers for Unity House in Peterlee, County Durham. The role involves supporting individuals with daily routines, dispensing and auditing medications, and managing and rotating the staff team.

Unity House is a 21-bed residential home providing accommodation for adults aged 18 and over.

Residents have diagnoses of intellectual disability and may also have co-existing conditions such as mental health issues or physical impairments.

The service supports adults who may exhibit behavioural distress, requiring passionate, empathetic, and understanding support workers.

The main goal of the service is to ensure that the people supported receive the highest possible quality of life.

Candidate Profile:

We seek staff with drive and a passion for supporting adults in all aspects of daily life, including personal care tasks. Emphasis is placed on developing and promoting independence. The role requires a staff member who can prioritize these values at all times.

Unity House employs a person-centred approach, matching support staff skills with the needs of the individuals to ensure the best quality of support.

Successful candidates must be willing to work various shift patterns. A fully enhanced DBS check is required, with the cost paid by the company.
