Lifeways are looking for a Care Team Leader to work alongside our Service Manager in the leadership and day-to-day management of our established service , this is an exciting opportunity to join our established team. - Contract 37.5 hours
- Shifts in service are mixed shifts of 0700-1430 and 1430-2200 working alternative weekends

Applicants from experienced Care Team Leaders/Senior Support Workers holding an NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care, (or equivalent) would be an advantage. As Team Leader you will lead and motivate a team of support workers ensuring that excellent person-centred care and support is delivered to people supported by Lifeways to enable them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
You will be involved in the recruitment of, and the ongoing development of support workers by carrying out staff supervisions, candidate interviews and providing general guidance and expertise.
You will possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, people we support and outside professionals. In addition, good written communication and IT skills for record keeping.
The role entails supporting the Manager to run a busy 16 bed flat scheme for adults with Learning disabilities. The completion of medication and Finance weekly audits. Teir checks and health and safety checks, attending meetings and training. To complete Staff supervisions and appraisals. Sending and responding to emails.
This service is in the residential area of Bloxwich, just outside Walsall. There are local pubs, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Walsall is the closest town. It is a vibrant place with all the necessary amenities including pubs, cafes, restaurants, Reedswood or Crown Wharf Retail Parks with high-street shops and banks, and Saddlers Shopping Centre. There is also the New Art Gallery, Lichfield Street Hub Library, The Light Cinema, and the Walsall Gala Baths for swimming and other leisure activities.
