We’re looking for an inspiring Deputy Manager to join our service in Bolton. Red Lion Apartments is a development of 16 high quality self-contained apartments in Westhoughton that provides accommodation and 24 hour support for people with complex mental health needs. As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Service Manager to ensure exceptional, person-centred care is delivered to the people living here, enabling them to live independently while receiving the exact package of recovery support that they need. Here, residents enjoy both vibrant community connections and the independence of their own space — and you’ll play a vital role in making that possible. A driver would be ideal for this role, however there are good transport links for non-drivers.
As Deputy Manager, you will be part of the management rota, including day and evening shifts and approximately 1 in 3 weekends. You will also provide management cover during annual leave and support the service where required to cover sickness absence or unforeseen staffing issues.
In this role, you will:
- Foster an open, supportive culture that empowers your team to deliver high-quality, person-led support.
- Lead with passion and professionalism, supporting people living with mental health conditions.
- Champion quality and continuous improvement across all areas of service delivery.
- Build meaningful relationships with your team, families, and the local community.
You’ll lead with purpose, inspire confidence, and drive excellence — shaping the future of care at Moor House.
What You’ll Bring:
- Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or working towards).
- Proven experience in team leadership and operational management.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care — and leading by example.
If you embody empathy, courage, honesty, equality, and passion, you’ll feel right at home here.
When you join us, you’re stepping into a leadership role within a company that truly invests in its people. Our values guide everything we do: Caring – Honest – One Team – Innovative – Courageous – Equal.
You’ll benefit from:
- Access financial wellbeing tools with Stream, including real-time pay tracking and instant early access to earned wages.
- Leadership development & clear progression pathways.
- A supportive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Matched contribution company pension scheme.
- Access to wellbeing resources & mental health support.
- Reward & Recognition programmes.
- Exclusive discounts on shopping, tech, travel, and more through CHOICE Rewards.
This is an exciting moment to join Lifeways. We’re on a bold journey to become the Care Provider of Choice, continuously improving how we support both our teams and the people in our care. As a leader, you’ll have the freedom, tools, and trust to shape your service, your team, and your own career. We’ll back you every step of the way — because your growth is part of our mission. At Lifeways, you’re not just a Deputy Manager. You’re a leader who can make a difference — every single day.
