We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities across two residential homes, supporting a total of 11 people.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious care professional to play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the services, working closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team to ensure the people we support receive outstanding, person-centred care.

You’ll be supported by an experienced Registered Manager, a dedicated Area Manager, while having the opportunity to make a real difference through strong team leadership, quality improvement and the development of exceptional care and support.


We’re looking for a leader who:

  • Has strong experience within health and social care, ideally supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex physical needs
  • Has an understanding of CQC requirements, quality standards and effective governance
  • Is passionate about delivering person-centred care and achieving positive outcomes
  • Can confidently lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Is proactive, hands-on and able to lead by example
  • Is looking to take the next step in their career towards Registered Manager level

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of both services
  • Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
  • Help ensure the people we support receive safe, compassionate and empowering care
  • Support the implementation of quality and governance processes and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Assist with audits, care planning, safeguarding and compliance activityBuild positive relationships with families, professionals and the wider community
  • Support the Registered Manager with recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management
  • Create a positive and empowering culture where colleagues feel valued and the people we support can flourish
  • Step up and take responsibility for the services in the Registered Manager’s absence

What You’ll Bring:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, with Level 5 desirable or a willingness to work towards it
  • Strong experience in operational and people management within health and social care
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs
  • A good understanding of CQC standards and quality care delivery
  • A valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally
  • A genuine passion for quality care and the ability to lead by example
