The Carer's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
- Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community.
- Ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed.
- Inform the Registered Manager of any changes in the needs of service users.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of those individuals they support.
- Serve meals to service users at table or in bed, and assist with feeding if required.
- Assist with service users' overall comfort and wellbeing.
- Provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user.
- Help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, and collecting benefits.
- Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required.
- Monitor service users' conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and contribute to record keeping.
- Liaise with professional staff in carrying out care plans.
