At Hard Rock Hotel Malta, our Events team plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for guests through the successful planning and execution of conferences, meetings, weddings, social events, and special occasions. The team works closely with clients and internal departments to ensure every event is delivered to the highest standards while maximising guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events across the property and contribute to the continued success of the hotel. This role is essential in managing client relationships, overseeing event operations, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring all events are delivered seamlessly in line with company objectives and brand standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in event management, hospitality, conference and banqueting, or a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry
- Strong communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
- Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
- Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and event management systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required
- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong teamwork skills
Additional Requirements
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory events role within hospitality
- Experience managing conferences, corporate functions, weddings, and social events
- Ability to prepare event proposals, contracts, budgets, and post‑event evaluations
- Experience negotiating with clients and suppliers
- Strong understanding of banquet operations, event logistics, and service standards
- Ability to forecast event revenues and monitor profitability
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements relating to events and functions
