Job Purpose:

The Stock Assistant is an important role in the warehouse operations, ensuring strict adherence to all warehouse processes and procedures. Reporting to the Stock Team Leader, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, efficient inventory management, and seamless order fulfilment while supporting operational efficiency.

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when handling stock.
  • Replenish stock efficiently and accurately.
  • Operate a reach truck, ensuring compliance with training and safety standards.
  • Process damaged products by identifying, documenting, and coordinating their resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Assist with unloading and loading deliveries on arrival to the warehouse, and check relevant documentation as required.
  • Monitor and check levels of consumable goods such as boxes, labels, and tape, and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conduct detailed and thorough stock audits, investigating any discrepancies that are raised.
  • Safely perform manual handling tasks, including receiving stock, stock replenishment and rotation.
  • Adhere and ensure compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, consistently demonstrating a duty of care towards other colleagues and equipment.
  • Inform your Team Leader of any damaged stock or required equipment repairs.
  • Use Mechanical Handling Equipment safely by adhering to operating procedures and the training provided.

Candidate Profile:

  • Have good numerical skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite and knowledge of inventory management system.
  • Must have a good understanding of the English language to receive, interpret, and communicate information accurately.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be reliable, flexible, and demonstrate a strong commitment to the role.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure and independently.
  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Display a positive, proactive attitude towards the success of the team and overall operations.
  • Reach truck certification or equivalent experience is desirable.

Hours and Days:

40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00 – 18:00, with occasional Saturday shifts.
