About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate and creative facilitator to deliver our Life Skills Programme to a small group of pupils with complex learning needs. This year's programme has been specifically designed around sensory and experiential learning. Many pupils may have limited or emerging verbal communication, meaning sessions will focus on interaction, participation and engagement rather than traditional teaching methods. You’ll work alongside school staff and the wider LifeLit team to create enjoyable, meaningful learning experiences where every young person feels valued, included and able to succeed.

We’re looking for someone who believes every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. Whether you're an experienced SEND practitioner, a recently qualified teacher, or an educator who believes learning should be creative, engaging and person-centred, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to fit a traditional mould. In fact, we value people who think differently, build genuine relationships and are passionate about finding new ways to engage young people.

- Shares our belief that relationships are at the heart of meaningful learning.
Experience supporting pupils with autism, complex learning needs, sensory approaches or alternative communication methods would be highly advantageous. This may include experience with:
- Autism
- Severe or complex learning needs
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Non-speaking or minimally speaking pupils
- Makaton
- AAC communication systems

Session Fee
Facilitators will receive up to £60 per session, depending on experience, qualifications and the level of planning required. Most sessions are fully planned by LifeLit. However, where facilitators design bespoke presentations, activities or supporting resources, an enhanced session fee may apply. We believe in recognising creativity, initiative and the expertise our facilitators bring to every session.
