As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. You will have access to the firm’s resources and Know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.

Main purpose of the role

Simmons Adaptive are currently seeking an IP Consultant to join a client of ours at the end of March/ beginning of April for a period of 9-12 months. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality legal advice and support across a range of matters.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves general commercial contract and advisory work, where IP plays a small part. Therefore, IP experience is useful but not essential.
  • Advise on transactional IP work, with an additional focus on licensing/branding.
  • Advise on matters such as franchise partnerships and marketing contracts.
  • Engage with the retail business internationally.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor/lawyer with mid-level post-qualification experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, able to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage diverse workload.
  • Robust, confident approach to legal challenges.
  • Ideally available to work full-time (4 days to be considered), with a requirement to be in the office in London 1-2 days per week.
