We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Scientist/ Senior Principal Scientist to join our Antibody Discovery & Optimisation team based in our R&D site in Slough, UK.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Immune-based Antibody Discovery, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future technology strategy for our immunisation-dependent antibody discovery platform.
We can consider this individual to work 4 days per week or accommodate flexible working hours.
Who you’ll work with
This position involves working collaboratively across various functions, including IT, to ensure the successful delivery of antibody-based therapeutic candidates and the expansion of our digital framework.
What you’ll do

Drive innovation in our antibody platform using exceptional wet lab skills to deliver therapeutic antibodies.

Shape our antibody discovery and optimisation technology development strategy, including digital technologies implementation.

Collaborate effectively with departments such as Data Sciences, Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD), and IT to advance our platform.

Provide scientific leadership for cross-functional projects.

Present work clearly at various cross-functional and high-level meetings.

PhD with several years of experience in industry or an academic laboratory.

Experience with immunisation-dependent single B cell technologies, phage/yeast antibody display and/or immune repertoire deep sequencing methods.

Highly motivated with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timelines.

Excellent understanding of molecular biology and immunology.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

An interest or experience in applying new computational methods to antibody discovery and engineering.

Proven track record of delivering innovative medicines for serious diseases is desirable.

Experience leading, managing, and developing scientists is desirable.
