The Product Sales Specialist is responsible for advising and supporting our research customers in the field of confocal microscopy/research in the UK & Ireland, with the goal of further developing this area and ensuring long-term customer engagement. This position reports to the Sales Director and is part of the UK & Ireland commercial team. The role is based in North UK and is remote, with regular travel.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Develop new and existing customer potential and conduct sales conversations with confidence.
- Identify new customer contacts in alignment with strategic guidelines.
- Provide intensive support to core imaging facilities and key institutes within the sales region.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly pipeline data in SFDC for Sales Forecasts for confocal product lines.
- Generate leads through marketing activities, product presentations, and workshops at customer sites; represent the company at trade meetings.
- Supply sales management and marketing with insights on market share development, competitor activities, trends, and market dynamics in the assigned region.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:
- Strong Sales experience (minimum 4 years) in the Life Science Market.
- Strong communications - sound business acumen.
- Degree preferably in Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Proven record of successful selling of high-tech instruments.
- Hands-on experience in microscopy and specialized microscopic techniques, particularly confocal microscopy, with strong technical understanding.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
- Ability to travel, >50% travel within territory.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Ability to drive business success through demonstrating consistent and impressive sales growth over a period of time.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build sound relations with Key Account Customers.
- Knowledge of purchase procedure according to Italian regulation.
