Job Description
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to month end timetable
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Analysis of P&L nominals each month end to ensure completeness
- Enhance current reconciliations to reduce risk of human error and automate where possible
- Be a point of contact for auditors during the audit, providing reconciliation and addressing queries on balance sheet and P&L items
- Deep dive into balance sheet items where needed, coordinating with other departments to ensure data quality for reconciliation
- Preparation of ad hoc reports and projects as required
Requirements
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA qualification)
- Audit experience is a benefit
- 2 years post qualification, industry experience beneficial with experience closing monthly books, management accounts, etc.
- Experience with reconciliation is essential. Ability to understand what a good reconciliation is and why it is important
- Management experience not essential, but coaching and mentoring junior staff is beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
