Job Description

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to month end timetable
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
  • Analysis of P&L nominals each month end to ensure completeness
  • Enhance current reconciliations to reduce risk of human error and automate where possible
  • Be a point of contact for auditors during the audit, providing reconciliation and addressing queries on balance sheet and P&L items
  • Deep dive into balance sheet items where needed, coordinating with other departments to ensure data quality for reconciliation
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports and projects as required

Requirements

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA qualification)
  • Audit experience is a benefit
  • 2 years post qualification, industry experience beneficial with experience closing monthly books, management accounts, etc.
  • Experience with reconciliation is essential. Ability to understand what a good reconciliation is and why it is important
  • Management experience not essential, but coaching and mentoring junior staff is beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
