Based at Lifecare Chemistry in Bristol, you will work with routine and development-stage chemical synthesis for our chemistry development work. The role includes multistep synthesis, reaction monitoring, work-up, purification, scale-up support, chemical characterisation and accurate laboratory record-keeping. You will work to agreed experimental plans and procedures while contributing to troubleshooting, continuous improvement and safe, traceable laboratory practice.
About the role
As our Scientist Chemical Synthesis, you will support the Head of Laboratory and the wider Lifecare Chemistry team by carrying out chemical synthesis activities that are important to Lifecares implantable sensor technology. xgikmsk You will help progress starting materials, intermediates and final products through reaction sequences, with responsibility for careful preparation, monitoring, purification, isolation, drying, storage and documentation.
