About the role:
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management for clinical development projects, bringing together your technical expertise and clinical project management skills to contribute to the successful delivery of objectives set by the team and wider organisation. You will apply your deep subject matter knowledge to critically assess, prioritize, and shape clinical development activities across LifeArcâs portfolio, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive impactful outcomes; this could include providing input on clinical proposals from our funding calls, developing processes and procedures in line with internationally recognised standards and best practice, liaising with experts and clinical networks including patients and contributing to our clinical trial collaborations.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership and operational management of assigned clinical projects/programmes.
- Reviewing clinical development proposals, including clinical trial plans; appraise proposed timelines, milestones and objectives while identifying risks and potential issues for delivery.
- Sourcing human tissue samples and other resources for clinical studies.
- Liaising with cross-functional teams, collaborators and relevant experts to set-up clinical trials and studies for success.
- Demonstrating, continually developing, and sharing knowledge of developments within area of expertise.
Education & experience required:
- Significant experience in clinical development of scientific innovations; therapeutics, diagnostics, devices or other medical technologies
- Knowledge of different clinical trial phases and designs, particularly in relation to rare diseases and/or global health
- Understanding and/or experience of clinical trial management, from concept, through protocol development, submissions (ethics and regulatory), site set-up and management, follow-up, data analysis and reporting.
- A track record of leading clinical and/or multidisciplinary projects or large components of projects that demonstrate the creation of novel solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to build, lead, motivate and connect cross-functional matrix teams and projects, identifying synergies and driving operational efficiencies through strategic collaboration.
- Experience in navigating the clinical development pathway on a global scale is highly desirable, bringing insights from international regulatory landscapes and cross-border trial execution.
- Relevant experience in areas aligned with LifeArcâs strategic priorities is desirable.

Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience along with other exceptional benefits.
