The Product Growth Analytics team supports Life360 User and Revenue group by delivering critical insights to our stakeholders, monitoring business health through metrics, and driving outcomes through A/B testing. We also own the logic of the data architecture in our space and work with Data Engineering to deliver it.
The Product Growth Analytics team is hiring a Lead Data Analyst who will drive Subscriptions growth by identifying opportunities to deliver great experiences to our Members. You will focus on a user’s path to subscription and post-subscription experience and metrics. You will be the analytics owner for subscriptions related data instrumentation and infrastructure, metrics, and reporting. You will be a key partner to Product and be a critical part of our company data and testing initiatives.
Success in this role hinges on your technical aptitude, quantitative abilities, and business/product acumen: you know how to plow through data with SQL and BI tools, inform and inspire stakeholders with data-first presentations, design and scale AB tests, and identify user growth opportunities through the use of data. You treat stakeholders as a partnership – you are there at each step of the way and you know that we only succeed if we succeed together.
ML based experimentation is a key focus in this area; you will work closely with the DS and engineering teams to prepare data for models, assist in model building, and be deeply involved in measuring model performances during and after A/B testing.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and enhance existing subscription dashboards. Identify and fill gaps in our understanding for subscriber growth.
- Work with business leaders to define key metrics and build reporting to monitor and understand performance along those metrics.
- Generate insights that steer our Product testing roadmap.
- Design, measure, and scale Product AB tests.
- Identify and solve issues with data availability, consistency, and quality.
- Identify and find solutions for operational use cases e.g. system monitoring and alerting, outlier detection, etc.
- Create and deliver impactful presentations that tell a story focused on insights, not just data.
- Remain detail-oriented while working across a wide variety of projects.
- Work with Data Engineering to design data pipelines that help organize relevant data towards a single source of truth.
- Forecast growth KPIs, identify opportunities, influence business partners, and drive effective decision-making.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance teams to help resolve broader business problems, create growth plans, establish financial and operating targets and determine optimal resource requirements.
- Be part of a great team, but capable of operating independently - managing relationships, deliverables and expectations with your business partners.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6+ years experience as an analyst, data scientist, or BI Engineer.
- 4+ years experience SaaS / consumer app experience and understanding of related metrics.
- Expert capabilities with SQL and Tableau are required. Experience with Python is a plus and other data access and visualization is a plus.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Finance or other quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Excel and a strong familiarity with advanced functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort interacting with executives.
- Experience in communicating to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. That means being flexible and willing to jump in and do whatever it takes to be successful.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking paired with intellectual curiosity and aptitude in picking up new technical skills.
- Curiosity to learn about new topics and uncover hidden insights.
Competitive pay and benefits include:
- Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees).
- 401(k) plan with company matching program.
- Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being.
- Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year.
- Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns.
- Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment.
- Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle.
- Free Tile Products.
Life360 Values:
- Be a Good Person - We have a team of high integrity people you can trust.
- Be Direct With Respect - We communicate directly, even when it’s hard.
- Members Before Metrics - We focus on building an exceptional experience for families.
