At Life Lessons we support schools to be inclusive environments, where all young people develop the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices and thrive. Video content makes our learning materials relatable, inclusive and highly engaging. We’re taking our use of video to the next level by hiring a highly creative, ideas-driven Videographer. We are looking for a talented creative, who is curious about people, feels energised by sharing stories and working with young people from all walks of life.
Role details
- Full time
- Ideally a London based role working 2-3 days per week from our office, travelling to schools and events nationwide (travel expenses paid). However, we can be flexible for the right candidate if you are based outside of London.
- Must hold a full, clean, current UK driving license
- £30,000 per annum
- Filming equipment and editing software provided
Responsibilities
- Generate fresh ideas and creative concepts.
- Work with our marketing lead and learning team to shape the look, feel, and tone of Life Lessons’ content.
- Produce videos for use in our ‘Life Lessons’, used in schools all over the UK, including:
- the opinions and life stories of young people
- inspirational journeys of relatable role models
- authoritative knowledge shared by charismatic subject matter experts
Who we’re looking for
- A natural storyteller with a strong portfolio of video work.
- You have a passion for creating content that is fun, inclusive, inspiring, and impactful.
- A positive collaborator who enjoys building new relationships, working with young people and building trust.
- You are meticulous in your communications to secure positive, age appropriate consent with young people, parents/guardians.
- You are Enhance DBS checked, or else are happy for us to get this set-up for you on appointment.
- Confident filming and editing solo; able to adapt quickly in fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable directing contributors and, when needed, stepping in as a presenter.
- Familiar with lightweight gear (mirrorless cameras, wireless audio, portable lighting, etc.).
- Flexible, proactive, and happy to travel regularly across the country and therefore a driving licence is important.
