Reporting to: Pool Coordinator/Aquatics Manager

Job Purpose: To be responsible for planning and delivering learn to swim sessions to children and adults.

Salary: All posts are for 52 weeks per year unless otherwise stated. Salary circa £27,070

Person specification:

  • Essential qualification: SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming
  • Desirable skills:
    • A minimum of Level 2 swimming teacher qualification.
    • A sound knowledge of all areas of the swimming programme.
    • The ability to relate and communicate with people of all ages and deal with associative issues and situations.
    • An understanding of child development.
    • The ability to be well planned.
    • The ability to be flexible.
    • The ability to monitor, evaluate and be prepared to change plans where necessary.
    • The ability to keep an accurate record.
    • The ability to work on your own initiative and to work as part of a wider team.
