This role will help fuel our mission of making being physically active the norm. As a key role in the business, you will have a dual role providing a first class service to those participants accessing the exercise referral scheme as well as members who are well seasoned in all things health and fitness. Your main purpose is to provide high-quality health and wellbeing support across both specialist physical activity and mainstream fitness services, helping participants and members to improve their health, confidence and physical activity levels through safe, inclusive and motivating experiences,
- KO 2 | Support the delivery of specialist physical activity programmes for people with low to moderate risk health conditions.
- KO 3 | Provide safe, inclusive and motivating group exercise and gym floor support across services.
- KO 4 | Maintain effective team working, data accuracy, equipment standards and stakeholder engagement.
Key Objective 1:
Deliver high quality onboarding, consultations and fitness experiences for members and participants. Provide high quality onboarding experiences through the VIP GO programme and for participants accessing the PARiS scheme, ensuring they are supported throughout their health journey.
Key Results:
- Number of consultations delivered
- number of onboarding sessions completed;
- NPS score
Key Objective 2:
Support the delivery of specialist physical activity programmes for people with low to moderate risk health conditions. Work alongside the Specialist Physical Activity Coach to deliver high quality programme design, consultations, supervised sessions and specialist classes, while working towards assessing and providing consultations for those with low level needs.

- attrition %.
Key Objective 3:
Provide safe, inclusive and motivating group exercise and gym floor support across services. Deliver a range of group exercise experiences, provide meaningful interaction and motivation on the gym floor and in studio spaces, and ensure fitness equipment is well maintained and safe through regular checks and cleaning.

- number of fitness visits
- number of Boditrax scans completed.
Key Objective 4:
Maintain effective team working, data accuracy, equipment standards and stakeholder engagement. Support wider team delivery, participate in meetings and training, use systems such as Refer All to maintain accurate monitoring data, treat participant information confidentially, and work with internal teams and partner organisations to support outreach and service development.
Relevant Experience
- Essential | Previous experience of working in a role which supports people with long term health conditions within the physical activity sector;
- previous experience of delivering high quality onboarding experiences for a range of people with different fitness needs;
- experience of supporting young people and their wellbeing needs.
Desirable
- Desirable | Experience of administering simple exercise testing and challenges to workforces;
- experience of listening and working with people with lived experience to co-design activities and respond pragmatically to feedback.
Skills and qualifications
- Essential | Level 3 Exercise Referral or willing to work towards;
- passion for delivering group exercise classes
- excellent communication, interpersonal, listening and empathy skills
- ability to work on own initiative and as part of the wider
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong administration and organisational skills
- computer proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
- Level 3 health and fitness qualification
- Behaviour Change CPD/qualification
- additional qualifications such as Spin or Exercise to Music
- Personal Training qualification and experience.
