Lead Swimming Coach – Stockport, Greater Manchester Hours: 9-11 hours per week. Monday – Friday 7.35 – 9.05pm and Saturday AM. Location: Life Leisure Grand Central Job Description Stockport Metro is looking for a highly motivated coach with experience at Age Group and Development to work with swimmers aged 9-14 across 2 different squads. The role is an essential part of our coaching pathway and the new coach will work alongside the Assistant Head Coach and Head of Development to develop swimmers to progress through our pathway. Your role will be dedicated to engaging with our age group swimmers as they progress swimming journey, improving technique and skills, and coaching with high standards and quality following the Life Leisure WATCH principles. About You Our coaching team consistently promote the values of the programme. The ideal candidate would ideally share the 5 key characteristics that we promote within our coaching team: Professional Passionate Technical Caring Proactive We are looking for an individual who is organised, a team player and can communicate effectively to young swimmers and their parents. Essential Skills A sound knowledge of all areas of the Stockport Metro swimming programme, including the teaching programme A minimum of Coaching Swimming: Level 2 Award or Swimming Coach Certificate or, an interest in working towards this (if not already) Level 1 Coaching and Level 2 teaching qualification will be considered Desirable Skills A minimum of two years\’ swimming teaching or coaching experience Knowledge of swimming competitions, especially at a development and age group level Level 3 Senior Coach qualification
