About the Role

We are recruiting Special Needs Assistants to work across a range of Wakefield primary schools, including settings developing their own specialist provision within mainstream environments. These schools need consistent, dependable and nurturing team members who can support pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), including:

  • Autism
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs
  • Speech, Language & Communication needs
  • Complex learning difficulties
  • Physical or sensory needs

You’ll be working alongside teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff to create safe, structured and engaging learning experiences that help pupils feel understood, valued and supported.
