We are recruiting Special Needs Assistants to work across a range of Huddersfield primary schools, including settings developing their own specialist provision within mainstream environments. These schools need consistent, dependable and nurturing team members who can support pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), including:
- Autism
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs
- Speech, Language & Communication needs
- Complex learning difficulties
- Physical or sensory needs
You’ll be working alongside teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff to create safe, structured and engaging learning experiences that help pupils feel understood, valued and supported.
What We’re Looking For
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Childcare, or Childcare & Education
- Experience working with children with SEND
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
