We’re looking for a Warehouse Assistant Team Manager – Non Food Maintenance at Lidl in Luton. The role offers £40,000–£50,000 per annum, 30–35 days holiday, ongoing training and development, 10% in-store discount, and a pension scheme.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for a department in the RDC.
- Line‑manage an amazing team of Warehouse Operatives, coaching and training them to succeed.
- Maintain automated systems from sortation machinery to controllers and perform repairs when needed.
- Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, 6‑monthly and yearly tests to keep systems in top shape.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas for streamlining automation technology.
- Ensure safety regulations are met at all times and report any concerns.
- Coordinate with on‑call service providers and manage external service work if required.
- Manage tool inventories and spare parts to keep the team equipped.
- Support additional machinery such as lifts, MHE and compressors, reporting issues promptly.
- Assist the Team Manager with operations, compliance and Head Office projects.
What you’ll need

- Experience with automation systems such as sorters, conveyors and controllers.
- A proactive approach to maintaining and improving automated systems.
- Willingness to work shifts and be on call when required.
- Commitment to safety and compliance regulations.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- A relevant trade qualification and at least two years of experience in a technical role.
