Customer obsessed, high energy and love learning every day? If that sounds like you, earn £370+ per week as a Customer Assistant on our standard 30 hour contract.

Your role will be varied, working across different shift times, tasks and with different colleagues. There’s no such thing as “normal” in retail, but we’ve tried our best!

As a Customer Assistant you are required to sell alcohol; therefore you must be 18 or over to work in our store.

Shift Patterns

  • Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, stocking the shop floor and bakery products for opening time so customers can Go Full Lidl!
  • Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, maintaining cleanliness and presentation, helping customers on the shop floor and on tills to minimise queues
  • Late shift: Afternoon start, delivering a top-class customer experience on tills, restocking missing items and preparing the store for the next day

What you\’ll do

  • Interact with customers in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner
  • Follow stock loss controls in all areas of the store
  • Maintain store and external cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Follow freshness and rotation principles
  • Ensure waste is managed correctly
  • Assist in the stock count process

What you\’ll need

  • Preferably previous experience in a customer-facing role, but not essential if you have the right attitude

  • £12.40 per hour rising to £14.10 per hour after 3 years

  • Year 3: Basic Rate £13.40; Unsocial Hours £16.75; Overtime/Sundays £20.10
  • Year 4: Basic Rate £14.10; Unsocial Hours £17.63; Overtime/Sundays £21.15
