Your role will be varied, working across different shift times, tasks and with different colleagues. There’s no such thing as “normal” in retail, but we’ve tried our best!
As a Customer Assistant you are required to sell alcohol; therefore you must be 18 or over to work in our store.
Shift Patterns
- Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, stocking the shop floor and bakery products for opening time so customers can Go Full Lidl!
- Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, maintaining cleanliness and presentation, helping customers on the shop floor and on tills to minimise queues
- Late shift: Afternoon start, delivering a top-class customer experience on tills, restocking missing items and preparing the store for the next day
What you\’ll do
- Interact with customers in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner
- Follow stock loss controls in all areas of the store
- Maintain store and external cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Follow freshness and rotation principles
- Ensure waste is managed correctly
- Assist in the stock count process
What you\’ll need

What you\’ll receive

- £12.40 per hour rising to £14.10 per hour after 3 years
- Additional supplements paid depending on the days & hours worked*

- Year 3: Basic Rate £13.40; Unsocial Hours £16.75; Overtime/Sundays £20.10
- Year 4: Basic Rate £14.10; Unsocial Hours £17.63; Overtime/Sundays £21.15
