Customer obsessed, high energy and love learning every day? If that sounds like you, earn ÂŁ370+ per week as a Customer Assistant on our standard 30 hour contract.

Your role will be varied working across different shift times, tasks and with different colleagues.

There’s no such thing as a “normal” day in retail, but this role will involve serving customers, stocking products, and supporting store operations.

What you’ll do

  • Interacting with the customer in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner
  • Ensuring stock loss controls are followed in all areas of the store
  • Maintaining store and external cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Following freshness and rotation principles
  • Ensuring all waste is managed correctly
  • Assisting in the stock count process

  • Preferably, previous experience in a customer facing role but this is not essential provided you have the right attitude

What you’ll receive

We offer a competitive and transparent salary system, that ensures pay equality across all positions at Lidl.

  • ÂŁ12.40 per hour rising to ÂŁ14.10 per hour after 3 years
  • Additional supplements paid depending on the days & hours worked
  • 29 days holidays per annum (pro rata, including Bank Holidays)

Shift patterns

  • Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, you’ll be getting our award-winning products fully stocked on the shop floor and our bakery products ready for customers by opening time.
  • Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, you’ll ensure stores are clean and well presented, keep products fresh, help customers on the shop floor, and work on tills.
  • Late shift: From the afternoon, you’ll provide a top-class customer experience on tills, restock missing items and prepare the store for the next day.
