The Customer Insights & Experience (CIX) Department is at the heart of driving customer centricity throughout the business. From Board members and Head Office to our Distribution Centres and Stores, the Customer Insights & Experience Department has a track record of successfully informing key decision makers on what shoppers and competitors think, say and do. All of this within a collaborative and high performance environment in a fast paced industry where no two days are truly ever the same.
We are looking to expand the teams’ influence further with a Senior Customer Insights Manager to lead on all Shopper and Market Insight topics, identify new solutions to Lidl’s challenges, and help us achieve our goal of Turning Customers into Fans. This new role will bring experience and passion to providing the business market data analysis and updates, continuing Lidl’s curation of the perfect limited assortment product range, and finding routes to further accelerate the success of our Lidl Plus loyalty program. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to shape the future of Insight at Lidl and be in the centre of Lidl’s future growth.

What you'll do
- Analyse Consumer (Household) and Retail (POS) Panel data, identifying strategic and tactical levers to strengthen Lidl’s position
- Influence key decision makers including the Board of Directors; Commercial, Customer, Operational and Regional Directors; and their departments
- Take responsibility for key category range reviews, providing insights across product, price and promotion to optimise Lidl’s approach
- Identify and prioritise category opportunities, and lead strategic category management projects
- Deliver regular business performance updates to senior stakeholders that inform, steer and inspire the business
- Use a mix of datasets to fully explain market and customer dynamics, including blending panel data with internal KPIs and Loyalty metrics
- Lead fellow insight colleagues as the senior member of the Shopper and Market Insight function within the CIX Department
- Closely collaborate and exchange with teammates working on Customer Research, Customer Satisfaction and Brand Health topics to tell the whole story
- Work with colleagues across the business to improve the customer journey from start to finish, including Loyalty & CRM, Strategy, Store Layout and Equipment, Property, Corporate Affairs, Customer Care and CSR
- Manage Lidl’s relationship with data agencies such as Kantar, NIQ, Circana and CACI; lead data agreement negotiations; and take budget responsibility.
- Collaborate with colleagues at Lidl International to expand and improve data usage across the Lidl group
What you'll need
- Experience working with Consumer and Retail Panel data, such as Kantar, NIQ, Circana and/or GfK
- Confidence and resilience to work closely with senior leaders and take on constructive feedback
- Team-first mentality, with an ability to lead more junior members of the department and support and delegate as necessary
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and deliver meaningful insights
- Creativity and forward-thinking commerciality to quickly adapt to our high-pressured business environment and uncertain market conditions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivation, organisation, and the ability to work independently to achieve results
- Strong decision making skills to cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
