As a Warehouse Operative (Goods In) for our upcoming state-of-the-art Leeds Regional Distribution Centre (RDC), you’ll play a vital role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly.
From counting and moving stock to making sure deliveries are processed properly, you’ll be part of a team that gets our products into our customers’ hands.
Our Brand-new, State-of-the-art Warehouse In Leeds Is Set To Open In April 2027!
To Ensure You Are Fully Prepared And Empowered For Launch Day, Your Journey With Us Will Include Comprehensive, Paid Hands-on Training Prior To The Site Opening.
- Neighbouring Regional Training (Doncaster, Runcorn, Newton Aycliffe): You will gain initial operational experience across our neighbouring regional sites.
To make your journey hassle-free, Lidl will provide a dedicated coach service to and from work each day during this training period (travel time included in working hours).
- Luton RDC Training: You will also spend time training at Luton - Lidl's largest RDC - to learn and master our newest, cutting-edge Warehouse Management System (EWM).
This is a role that keeps you on your feet and thinking fast – perfect for someone who likes to be hands-on and work hard as part of a busy team.
You’ll be dealing with everything from fresh fruit and veg to frozen goods, so attention to detail and high energy are key!

What you'll do
- Carefully count, move, and put away the full range of food and non-food products
- Safely operate machinery, such as Reach Trucks (full comprehensive training provided)
- Master Lidl’s newest Warehouse Management System (EWM) during your Luton training placement
- Ensure stock is processed accurately to the highest quality and safety standards
- Work in cold environments (including chillers and freezers) and adhere to temperature compliance processes
- Follow processes for recording and reporting incorrect or damaged deliveries
- Communicate clearly and confidently with your team and managers
- Help with team tasks and maintain warehouse standards to the expected level, with a clean as you go attitude
- What you'll need
- Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Reach Truck License or experience is desirable but not essential
- Great maths skills and a keen eye for detail
- To be confident working with moving equipment and warehouse machinery
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for off-site training (Doncaster, Runcorn, Newton Aycliffe, and Luton)
- Self-motivation, a can-do attitude, and a sense of pride in a job well done
