Based in our brand new, state‑of‑the‑art head office in Tolworth, the IT Business Consulting department is looking for a highly motivated, driven individual to join the team and build a career in a fast‑paced and international environment. The role will be responsible for the implementation of solutions for our national network of distribution centres and for the automation of the largest Distribution Centre in the Lidl estate in Luton using SAP EWM. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your career working for the largest retailer in Europe.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with business consultants on potential new solutions and improvements to existing solutions
- Ensure the stability, security and quality of provided solutions
- Internal and external resource management and report to team manager
- Provide solutions to the business in a cost‑efficient way whilst maintaining security, functionality and time‑to‑market
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the technical infrastructure as well as component platforms in use
- Provide support and incident management for applicable solutions
- Ensure solution investments and costs are accurately planned for in accordance with the annual planning process
- Participate in and lead projects at both national and international level
- Manage Goods Issue Logistics solutions throughout their life‑cycle from conception through to retirement
- Ensure excellent working relationships with stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure the success and smooth operation of solutions
What you'll need
- Working knowledge of logistics solutions, comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and operations essential
- An understanding of application security and governance practices is highly beneficial
- Experience of project and stakeholder management essential
- Knowledge of SAP EWM specifically Warehouse internal processes and Goods Issue essential
- Knowledge of requirement gathering essential
- SQL knowledge beneficial
- The ability to liaise and communicate at both a technical and non‑technical level
- A strong team mentality and good collaboration ethos
- Comfortable multitasking a diverse portfolio of projects and tasks
- Strong ownership of tasks and a keen eye for detail
- Proactive in keeping up to date with the latest technologies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills essential
- Occasional travel to European countries required
- German language skills are desirable, but not essential
