About the role
We are looking for a passionate employee relations expert to join our new Employee Relations team in Tolworth. The role will support grievance management at a national level and will be part of a growing Head Office team. You will navigate complex employee matters at pace and reach outcomes in an objective, balanced and fair manner. Your work will help maintain a positive employee experience in line with ACAS and employment legislation. Our hybrid working model allows you to spend three days in our state‑of‑the‑art office and up to two days working from home.
What you’ll do
- Manage and coordinate formal and informal grievance cases
- Conduct fact‑finding and investigation meetings
- Provide advisory guidance and coaching to the supporting team
- Draft outcome letters and maintain accurate case documentation
- Provide practical ER guidance to managers and feedback on case learnings
- Conduct carrying out of any disciplinary processes, where required
- Ensure full compliance with employment legislation
- Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and HR best practices
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional workplace culture
What you’ll need
- A legal qualification / CIPD Level 7 (with specialist EL / advanced EL optional units) is desirable
- Solid understanding of grievance procedures and ACAS code of practice
- Significant Employee Relations experience, advising middle management and up to date labour law knowledge
- Experience of leading grievance investigations and delivering outcomes
- Highly developed in handling complex, sensitive and confidential matters
- Oversee a busy caseload whilst remaining calm, organised and solution‑focused
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Strong Google / Microsoft Office skills and HR software proficiency
- Experience within a retail or hospitality environment would be advantageous
- The ability to collaborate and share best practice with a range of stakeholders using strong influencing skills
