As a Lidl Procurement Services Consultant, you’ll be responsible for managing tenders and appointing suppliers across a diverse range of indirect procurement areas. From market research to contract negotiation, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment, overseeing mid to high level complexity projects simultaneously. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with various departments and gain exposure to senior stakeholders.

What you’ll do
- Strategic Sourcing for Indirect categories
- Lead and deliver sourcing initiatives, including supplier/industry analysis, benchmarking, and cost structure evaluation.
- Propose procurement decisions that are data-driven, compliant, and aligned with business goals.
- Identify innovative opportunities to add value through sourcing strategies.
- Tender Management
- Manage mid-to-high value and complexity tenders, from market research to supplier selection.
- Create tender packs, propose and complete scorecards.
- Present clear and commercially sound recommendations to stakeholders.
- Negotiations & Contracting
- Prepare and confidently lead negotiation meetings, ensuring both technical and commercial aspects are addressed.
- Influence outcomes to achieve strong commercial value for Lidl.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance across all terms.
- Category Development & Innovation
- Support the rollout of new procurement categories and onboarding processes, as needed.
- Recommend creative and practical service delivery models and sourcing approaches.
- Identify and implement category improvements using insights from internal and external trends.
- Contract & Supplier Relationship Management
- Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and performance tracking.
- Foster strong supplier relationships and continuously seek opportunities for performance improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Engage with stakeholders across departments to understand their needs and translate them into procurement strategies.
- Present updates, insights, and proposals clearly and confidently to senior management.
- Act as a trusted advisor by managing expectations, navigating challenges, and delivering commercially sound outcomes.
What you’ll need
- Solid experience in a procurement role
- Experience with indirect procurement categories highly desirable - Professional Services, soft and hard FM, Property, Construction, HR, etc.
- CIPS level 4 or substantial proven relevant experience
- Experience working with suppliers, contract management and tendering
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Effective negotiator and confident presenter
- Ability to independently engage senior stakeholders, navigate change, and adapt procurement strategies to shifting business priorities
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently within tight deadlines
- Ability to handle and interpret large volumes of data (both numeric and narrative)
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint/Google Sheets and Google Slides
