We are LWMTS, a company wholly owned by Lichfield District Council. A local authority in the Heart of England that provides local services to over 100,000 residents. JOB PURPOSE
We're looking for an experienced Project Officer who will play a key role in delivering property and capital projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for making sure that all activities across a project are planned, co-ordinated, and delivered within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver projects by co-ordinating tasks, schedules, resource and information.
- Track project progress against plans, highlight risks or delays and prepare regular process reports for the Project and Property director and stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact for internal teams, external partners, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Assist with project budget monitoring, process invoices and purchase orders, and maintain accurate financial records in line with the organisation procedures.
- Maintain accurate project files and records ensuring that project documentation meets audit and compliance requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in working in a similar role with the relevant sector (e.g. local authority, construction, housing, private sector).
- Experience of using standard office IT Systems (e.g. Word, email, Excel, project tracking tools).
- Understanding of project management principles and processes.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and record keeping.
- Experience of supporting the delivery of project programmes within a team environment.
- Experience of coordinating multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Aware of Health & Safety, equality and diversity and data protection relevant to project work.
- Understanding of risk management and quality assurance in project delivery.
