Lichfield Cathedral School is a flourishing co-educational independent school in Staffordshire for ages 2½ to 18. Position details
Primary Teacher — Fixed term for 2025/2026 academic year • 0.8FTE • Immediate start available
Due to expansion at our Junior School, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified teacher who has a proven record of accelerating progress and attainment in a junior school environment and is able to transform learning to secure achievement; is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning; and is an outstanding classroom practitioner. We are seeking candidates who have experience teaching KS1 or lower KS2.
Responsibilities
- Join a team passionate about encouraging children to love learning in a warm and inclusive environment that stimulates exploration and discovery.
- Teach and contribute to high standards of teaching and learning; accelerate progress and attainment in a junior school setting.
- Build, develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with all children, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider aspects of school life.
- Support the continued development of dedicated classrooms and outdoor areas to provide the best learning experience.
- Fulfil duties associated with a fixed-term contract due to year-group expansion and class structure changes.
Qualifications and requirements
- Qualified teacher with experience in KS1 or lower KS2.
- Ability to transform learning to secure achievement and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with strong interpersonal skills.
