What will you be doing?
The Construction and Operations Trustee is responsible for our construction and operations activity. This includes buildability assessment, scoping of methodology, resources and materials and, following approval, costing, resourcing and implementing projects.
Summary
- Strategy: develop and implement LHCRT’s overall strategy to enable the construction, restoration and maintenance of the canal route.
- Activities: lead construction activities and manage, plan, coordinate and oversee the work of the support team.
- Compliance: ensure compliance with current construction legislation, codes of practice, guidance and on-site health and safety, liaising with the Trust’s health and safety lead, as required.
- Plant and equipment: ensure there are sound arrangements for their repair, service and maintenance; selection and procurement; and training of operatives to use it.
- Plan and review: convene and attend the monthly Construction, Operations, Green & Grounds (COGG) planning meeting to review the prevailing situation and set the rolling forward workplan.
