LVS Ascot is a high performing coeducational day and boarding school, with a reputation for allround excellence. We are recruiting for a Site Porter to work as part of our inhouse portering team. The role requires the post holder to take lead in work allocation, carry out light security tasks such as unlocking/locking gates and buildings, establish strong lines of communication with various stakeholders (to ensure smooth operation of portering duties) and handle ad hoc requests from the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in work allocation and coordination of portering activities.
- Unlock/lock gates and buildings.
- Site set‑ups, post and deliveries.
- Event support and traffic management.
- Site lock‑up/unlock.
- Coordinate upkeep of sites and vehicle fleet for health and safety compliance.
- Run team meetings and provide staff training.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Computer literate.
- Strong awareness of HSE.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, two week alternating rota (10am - 6pm & 6am - 2pm). 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
