Job Summary

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Food & Nutrition to continue to deliver an engaging and high‑quality curriculum across the school. Food & Nutrition is a popular and well‑regarded subject, and the successful candidate will build on this strong foundation. They will demonstrate excellent practical expertise, confidence in teaching engaging lessons at Key Stage 3, and experience of delivering the AQA Food Preparation and Nutrition specification. They will have a genuine passion for cooking and be able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

This role includes responsibility for the leadership and management of the Food & Nutrition department. Duties will include:

  • Line management of a technician and a part‑time member of staff
  • Effective budget management
  • Maintaining high expectations and standards for students
  • Organising and running enrichment opportunities such as clubs and competitions

The ideal applicant will be an accomplished and reflective practitioner who thrives in a vibrant, busy, and highly productive environment. They will contribute creatively to the department and wider school community, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while fostering students’ enthusiasm for Food & Nutrition.
