Licata Building Systems is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Internal Sales Manager to lead and develop our Facade Systems sales division.
The successful candidate will manage internal sales activities, support the external specification and business development teams, and drive revenue growth across our facade product portfolio, including External Wall Insulation (EWI), brick slip systems, render systems, rainscreen cladding, and associated facade solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent customer relationship skills, and the ability to convert enquiries into profitable sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate the internal sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop sales strategies to increase market share within the facade sector.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of sales personnel.
- Customer & Project Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, facade consultants, and distributors.
- Manage incoming project enquiries from specification through to order placement.
- Ensure accurate quotations, pricing, and commercial proposals are prepared and submitted.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell Licata systems and complementary products.
- Technical & Commercial Support
- Work closely with the Technical and Specification teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide guidance on Licata facade systems, EWI systems, render solutions, and brick slip systems.
- Assist customers with system selection and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Business Development Support
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities.
- Support external Business Development Managers with project tracking and lead generation.
- Maintain and develop relationships within the construction supply chain.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records within the company CRM system.
- Produce sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Monitor conversion rates and project success metrics.
- Ensure all customer interactions are documented and followed up promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in construction materials, facade systems, EWI, cladding, render systems, or building envelope products.
- Proven track record in internal sales management or sales leadership.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledge of facade regulations, fire compliance, and building envelope systems.
- Existing relationships with contractors, facade installers, architects, or developers.
- Experience working with specification-led sales.
- Technical understanding of EWI, brick slip systems, rainscreen cladding, or render systems.
